Here are dyno results of my Integra GSR with air intake and Dynomax muffler
(cheap).

168.3 HP at 7547rpm and 122.0 torque at 6267rpm.
I was at 125 mph on 4th gear. Whaauuu. I like that car.
Anyway, here is the dyno map.

My guess its a Dynojet dyno as opposed to a Mustang dyno. The real numbers are around 144 which is pretty respectable.

That means I don't have 168hp, but 144hp. Is that what you are saying??? It was Dynomite dyne jet. Pretty nice new mashine.

Yes you have around 144 hp, which is very good.

168 from a bone stock GSR motor is impossible, 168 is what a fully built $8,000 ITS motor put out with intake, header, exhaust, engine management, head work, oversized pistons, etc.

This was not a "mustang" dyno, but Dynomite dyno jet. I'v been told, that mustang dyno gives you smaller numbers than you actually have. This dyno what we had yesterday was giving little more than you really have.
Anyway. Right now we know, that car is strong and healthy and that what I was looking for. Thanks for input Sean....

OK, I guess I'm dumb, but isn't the whole point of dyno testing to see what the "real" numbers are? I didn't realize the equipment was biased.

Dynos are good for estimates, heck you could do 5 back to back runs on a dyno and get 5 different numbers. There are too many factors like air temperature, humidity, etc. A dyno would give a good baseline and then you could measure what the different changes do to your car.

Dynojet - estimate is too high. The loss factor on most cars is between 10-20% for stated hp and wheel hp.
Mustang - closer to real wheel hp but usually 5 or so hp too low. Most bigger places use a Mustang dyno because it provides a better result.

Yeah, it is always interesting to see someone post what they dynoed on a dynojet and then after the heartbreaker mustang dyno.. usually a pretty substantial difference....

I think Sean is just jelouse over the numbers Miro got and his E-Wang shrunk too much.

Yes I am jealous... those are some pretty damn good numbers for a 100k+ motor. Just another proof that Honda makes good motors.

probably the sweet spot for that engine. loosened up nicely but no loss of compression yet. should be a great car for miro. needs moar nosz though. w3rd
