I am thinking about going up and renting the karts for either half an hour or an hour. ($55 for a half hour or $80 for an hour, most of us will not last an hour.) The karts are direct drive Birel karts with Honda engines.

The course is 0.44 mile circuit featuring 12 turns, average lap times are around 42-44 second range with an average speed of about 35-36 mph. Top speed down the front straight is 45-50 mph.

If anyone is interested post here, on rental kart days they allow a max of 10 people on track at any time. Their rental time slot if 10AM - 2PM on Oct 28.

We have 8 karts reserved... list so far...

Basically you call in and reserve the karts, what I'll end up doing is reserving 8 karts for the 1-1:30 time slot.

I have 8 karts rented from 11:00 - 11:30 with a possibility to go longer. That was the only time slot they had that would allow us to run as a group by ourselves. (They changed their max rules, its 6 now but I arranged for 8.)

This means we have to leave Morgantown no later than 9:30AM.

List so far...

FYI:

You will need to wear jean or some long pants, socks, shoes (cannot be sandals or open toed shoes), long sleeve tshirt. They will provide a karting jacket, neck brace, helmet and gloves.

My heart is telling me yes, but my brain says no.

This is the last weekend this year, they will be back next year. I will likely arrange a 1.5 hour enduro next year, but I can't have people flaking on it. That being said, I'll run their regular rentals again next year.

Brucey

There was no information regarding that this MSF class was an all weekend event. It simply stated '6-10 friday'

That being said; my bad.

SeanB

44.8 when I ran earlier in the year
44.4 this time around, lot cooler today but the track was less grippy.

I still lack consistency, despite setting 2nd best time just 2/10th off the top time my times should have been more consistently in the 44s and instead were mainly in the 45s. (While traffic was a factor, I should learn to judge it better.)

I'll be back there next year, if anyone wants to come along let me know.

Why's everything got to close in november?

SeanB

They have a pretty packed schedule, so the remainder of the year has other stuff going on. The Wilson circuit is used for regular kart racing, rental kart racing, open rentals, bike racing, time trials, etc, etc, etc.
