First, officials are taking a second look (http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/formulaone/40749/) at Lewis Hamilton's start/stop/weave nonsense behind the safety car last week in Japan. There is new evidence (an amateur video, allegedly on YouTube) that show's Hamilton's actions causing the wreck that took out Mark Webber and Stephan Vettell. STR's boss is pushing it because Vettel got a 10-spot penalty on the grid for this week's Chinese GP.
Second, the spy scandal refuses to go away and now points back at Ferrari (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7027318.stm)!
Ferrari have been accused of spying on Formula One rivals McLaren by former head of development Nigel Stepney.
In the latest twist to the "spy-gate" saga, Stepney claims he received key information about McLaren's set-up.
"I got weight distribution, I got other aspects of various parts of their car, and I was Ferrari's employee at the time," he told grandprix.com.
Stepney was sacked by Ferrari in July, and a team spokesman dismissed his claims as "not credible".
So who wins the manufacturer's title if Ferrari get booted? :uhoh:
