Kids today (http://www.11alive.com/news/article_news.aspx?storyid=99589&provider=top):

Atlanta police are still trying to figure out what caused a car to plunge six stories out of a parking deck in Midtown, with the driver still inside early Wednesday morning.

Police said the 23-year-old driver behind the wheel of the car was trying to do something called drifting, not unlike the movie "Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift." A driver would pick up a lot of speed, and then cuts his wheel sharply, causing the car to slide sideways, or "drift."

At the Savannah Midtown Apartments at North and Piedmont Avenues, the bumper of the red Chevrolet Cavalier can be seen hanging from the sixth level of the parking deck. The car plunged from to a dumpster behind the garage.

Perhaps the Cavalier was just naturally drawn to the dumpster? http://img116.exs.cx/img116/8935/s6vhaha.gif

I wonder why they said he was drifting. It sounds like he was just driving like an idiot. Sounds like the "man" trying to crack down on something "he" doesn't understand. I don't really care much for drifting, but I would like to see evidence or at least a reasonable car before I'm willing to say it was drifting. It's the same thing on were you see all those deaths from drag racing. When they show the cars they are stock looking Honda Civics or Cavilers or something like that. That's not a real racer. It gives racing and most any motor sport a bad name. First it's drifting, but then what happens when they say he was autocrossing and lost control? And they start talking about all the deaths caused by it? Maybe I'm just paranoid.

The unidentified driver is in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, but facing a number of charges, including DUI, reckless driving and criminal damage to property.

I say it's just more proof why you should take the keys away from a drunk driver.
