I'm running Subaru wheels on my Celica for autocrossing, and I'm wondering how much of a spacer can I put in there? I have 2 sets that are a 1/4 inch a piece. I know I can get longer studes, and I will, but I'm worried about putting extra pressure on them due to the wheels having so much more leverage on them. Should I just use one 1/4inch spacer per wheel?

Anyone have any input on this? 1/2 inch spacer per wheel. I'm towarn on the idea and I just need someone else to tell me one way or another. I need to switch my tires to my factory rims. Factory Celica wheels are 35mm offset, 13.5 lbs, and 7 inches wide. The "track" wheels, steel Subaru Forester Steelies, are 48mm offset, 18 lbs, and 6.5 inches wide. I need to get a pair of light wieght wheels for the front for now. I've got the cash for that, I hope.

Nate,
You could run 1/2 spacers with some really good and longer studs...that's what i did on the celi all last year. Just buy some decent studs and you'll be ok...

Off topic, but where did you get your spacers? :f1:

4 I had made by a friend, and 4 I bought from ebay. The 4 I had made have the right center and only work for 5x100. The ebay ones are universal looking, but aren't bad quality at all.

A decent machine shop can make them for you. I had 1/8" spacers on the rear of the Neon that a shop in Dunbar fabbed up using a brake drum as a pattern.

Anyone know were to get good studs? Ebay makes me nervous on this. I want them to be good quality, so they don't break.

ARP makes some good longer studs.
