I don't know if this is really a setup question, but does anybody know if the airbag deploys when the battery is disconnected. My brother punched the steering wheel and dented the aluminum Honda H in the middle of the steering wheel a while ago. It is finally starting to bug me. I am pretty sure I can bend the aluminum out, just need to make sure the airbag doesn't deploy when I remove and disassemble the steering wheel. If I can steal my sister's digital camera I will post a pic up soon.

John,
The airbag won't deploy...it is triggered by a set of sensors that need to receive a certain amount of blunt force for the airbag to go off...
You should follow the manual for airbag removal procedures...follow it to a "t" and you'll be ok... Also, dependiong on the type of your steering wheel the aluminum might not be accessible from the rear of it...it might be part of the airbag assembly and you might have to buy a new one to make it look good again... try ebay first.. Do not, under any circumstances dissasemble the bag itself...as you know there are explosives in there...

I'd hate him, too, I think.
