Watching the GT race from earlier today at VIR (GT and DPs run separately this weekend). Two new rules have been implemented to spice up the "show," apparently:
- everybody has to pit in the first 45 minutes, regardless of fuel/tire strategery, to force two pitstops
- a "lucky dog" pass on cautions for a lapped car, although they're using a different name
I enjoy GrandAm's product and have learnred to like the DPs, but this sort of stuff just rubs me the wrong way. :rolleyes:
Maybe Flavio Briatore's behind it? :D
