Wheel Size and Class change

So the 2003 MRS has 15x6 fronts and 16x7 rears. Pre-2003 wheels were 15.6 fronts and 15x6.5 rears. If I buy Geoff's 15x6.5 wheels (all four) would that automatically throw me into CSP (from C-stock)? I could barely hang with Nathaniel when I had the STi!!!

well all i know is that i have the 15x6 wheels for the 02-03 si and i can't run the 16x6.5 size of the 04-05 si

What else changed in 2003? You can change over entire trim lines (i.e, turn a DX into an Si) if you change everything that is different between the trims. If it's only wheels, you're OK. If it includes some other options, you'd have to swap those, too.

Seems like there were several cosmetic changes and also went from 5 speed transmission to 6 speed transmission

Nope the wheel size must stay stock.. best bet is to get a set of aftermarket wheels for the street (any size you want) and use the stockers for DOT Rs... also the car should be eligable in ST2 using street tires on any size wheels you wish. or the CSP option with DOT Rs.

Only the first gen MR2 is STS2 eligible. :)

I might play a few time in CSP, probably snag a set of Kooks from my buddy this weekend and find a set of cheap 15" wheels. I am really getting the car fully prepped for STS2 this year since I plan to run nationals, I'll have the best prepped and lightest CRX and still be dead last.
