That Celica is going around that track like a slot car. I continue to be jealous of both your car and abilities.

Trust me Nate, the abilities need lots and lots of work...I should have been at least another 2 seconds faster...period. Maybe after everything is all sorted out with the car and I learn to drive (still being wayyy too agressive in the corner entry and that's what is costing me)

New front springs put on for the event??? or no?

Nope, old springs....I don't want to change to the bigger ones just yet...car seems to be doing quite well for now and I am afraid going with 150lbs more spring rate will cause some understeering.... I did put a bit stiffer springs in the rear a while back and it seemed to help with turn in...

It seems like your times would drop considerably, or at least become more consistent, if your setup wasn't different at every event. Just watching the car in that video, it looks like it behaves completely different than it did at RCR, which was the last event I saw you run in with great weather. I could be wrong, though, but it looks that way. I've always been curious as to whether you could improve your times just by picking a setup and going with it for a while. Of course I'm not saying this stuff implying that I know more than you about autocross, I'm just wondering if I'm missing something or if you feel the same way, too.
I've figured out that people seem to take things I say the wrong way, so I'm giving you a heads up, it was just a thought, not some kind of insult.

To be honest, power delivery has a lot to do with autocross performance. That is the main area I have been working on past couple of weeks. Many things (engine-wise) have been changed or upgraded and therefore the car will behave or seem to behave differently. (completelly reworked fuel and ignition maps since March event) The suspension setup has not changed since the RCR event. The wide tires are NOT meant for any sort of cool weather as you can imagine and they just came alive during the 80 degree BRR event... You also have to consider the size of the lot and speeds.... But it's safe to say that the temps had a major affect on handling....
There was soo much left out there. I took the car out to have it inspected today (yes, I am finally legal) and realized when I stomped the gas at any lower RPM range the AFR's went way low near or below 10:1 which is exactly what was causing the "take-off" problems at the Sunday's event...They need to be in the 13:1 range for low rpm boost building... gotta love this ems stuff, it's like a puzzle that takes months to put together right...heh\
Troy, as far as consistency, I agree, sometime it's better to leave your setup the way it is and run with it...but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am just trying to get a little closer to it with each modification. None of the mods are a blind stab at the car, everything is well researched and executed...it's the little things that can make a big difference...a little degree here, a little turn there... you know how it is...;)
