Currently I am standing in SM due to the charger.

I am just wondering, for future reference, any changes in classing with these mods.

I'm finally deciding a manual swap is coming sooner than later. But it wont be as simple as putting on my tranny in manual form.

The tranny(s) id most likely pick up are an ex tranny from my generation, which was not offered on the hatch. The only motor difference is the head, being vtec, where mine is not. I could pick up an SI tranny from the previous generation, both trannys have the same gear ratio/final drive.

There are also aftermarket LSD for these which I would obviously consider.

Last but not the least I picked up a spare head for my motor that I plan to make a long project out of. Most likely a cam regrind, cam gear, new valves (maybe bigger), springs, retainers, the whole works. Doing so I most likely will up the boost of the supercharger as well and get a chipped or reprogrammed ecu.

Thanks everyone.

Ok upon further reading and through other forums it seems I would be in E-Prepared! At least with the transmission swap. Can anyone confirm this?

Nope, stay in SM. In SM you can do anything drive train wise as long as it's from the original manufacturer. In other words, you could put an NSX motor in there and it would be ok but not a Passport motor because that's actually Isuzu although there are those who might argue.

The street mod classes were made for what you're doing. Its entire reason for being is to accommodate highly modified street cars. For the traditional autocross classes much beyond street prepared you are competing with trailer queens that are all stripped out and lightened. Given the growth of street mod classes there's no reason to try to compete with cars that are hollow shells of their former selves. Physics says it won't work.

Not just the motor, the whole vehicle is Isuzu. It's a Rodeo with a different grill badge. Honda was desperate to hop on the oh so hot SUV bandwagon and didn't have even a clue as to how to build one so they just shopped around for a good one. Isuzu was(is) in serious financial distress so they were more than willing.

Isuzu gave Honda the Rodeo in return for Honda giving them the 5th and 6th gen Accord. The Accord was badged as an Aska, there are a couple of 5th gen Accords in Morgantown with Aska wheels. They are the rather dorky looking 3 spoke wheels that scream Geo.
