A word of caution to parents getting ready to buy a Formula Junior kart. From what I hear, the Briggs and Straton World Formula engine will be a spec engine for FJB and FJA at national level events in the coming years. When exactly, hasn't been determined. An internal carburetor slide restrictor will be used for FJB. FJC, being a non-national level class, will not be affected.
Briggs and Straton World Formula (http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engines-racing/racing-engines/engine/?model=124335):
- 4 stroke
- Electric start available
- Minimal gains from "blueprinting"
Note: I just bought a KT100 2-stroke for my kids to run in FJB. :-(
