A word of caution to parents getting ready to buy a Formula Junior kart. From what I hear, the Briggs and Straton World Formula engine will be a spec engine for FJB and FJA at national level events in the coming years. When exactly, hasn't been determined. An internal carburetor slide restrictor will be used for FJB. FJC, being a non-national level class, will not be affected.

Briggs and Straton World Formula (http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engines-racing/racing-engines/engine/?model=124335):
- 4 stroke
- Electric start available
- Minimal gains from "blueprinting"

Note: I just bought a KT100 2-stroke for my kids to run in FJB. :-(

Robbie,

I will keep you as in the loop as I can about this ..... the next KAC meeting is in early Feb.... (and it is the first meeting with the new Members replacing those who left) ... thanks for the letter to the SEB, we need more official comments not just banter on EKN

Shawn Hill PMed me asking me to submit a letter. I thought it was a good idea, so I did. My big concern is the timing.
