2012 Solo Rule Changes

The November edition of Fastrack is out, with several major changes to the Solo landscape. You can read it here (http://www.scca.com:8080/assets/11-fastrack-nov-solo.pdf).

Major things (all of which we knew were coming, but now they're official):

Revised stock swaybar rule (change one, front or rear)
Major revamp of the ST* classifications
Revised Street Prepared classifications

There's some other stuff in there, too.

Just what we need - more classes :-( Why don't we just get a bunch of first place plaques and give one to everyone that enters??

Do you have a have all the classes at this level?

In Sepember there were 5 classes with only one entry
and
Another 10 classes with just 2 entries.

Technically, the classes in the Rule Book aren't binding on regions for their events. You can leave some out (like we do - no Ladies classes) or add others (like the "street tire" class that lots of regions run). It's certainly easier just to track what the National rules say, tho'.

FWIW, I remember a Board meeting long ago where Fred Griffin was complaining about all the new classes. I think I remember him saying that they only had 4 classes when he started! :clap:
