I have done a little reading on the stock class rules but would like some clarification...

Could someone verify I am correct? ...Any wheel with stock sizes, +/- 1/4" change in offset? Is this specific to the trim level of my car or line of my car up or down? Hybrid to Si size? 15 to17"?

Any DOT tire; non slick; as long as it fits the stock wheels and wells without mods? So i could choose to run a 205/50r15, 225/50r15 instead of an oddball 195/65r15 in DOT R compound tire like the Falken azenis RT-615K 200 treadwire or Kumho XS 180 tread wear?

Can stock parts be swapped from a trim up or down while keeping the same technology/layout and structure? Hybrid non adjustable shocks to Si? Brake rotors? Other suspension parts? As long as it does not change the OEM layout. Disc to disc swap? Hubs for larger brgs?

Shocks/struts can be aftermarket with no more than 2 adjustments?

Thanks all,

Rich

I know in stock any tire is allowed, including R-comps, that fits without modification, other than a 1/4" change in offset. I believe you're also allowed to obtain this offset through spacers.

I think (keyword:think) that you can run any wheel that came on that model of civic for that year. The gap between the SI/Hybrid is wide and they're classed differently, so I'm not so sure on that.

You could change trim levels, but to do this, you would have to do it completely. As in, it would have to appear and be correct in every way.

The shock info sounds correct, but wait for another verification on that. I think that would help tremendously.

You're limited to any size wheel that was a factory option for that particular trim level. On that wheel, you can squeeze any DOT-legal rubber you can fit.

In stock, you can only swap parts if you swap the entire trim level from one to the other. So (say), you could swap any Civic into an Si trim, but only if you could switch the whole package. I don't think that's really possible for most cars, but it's not unheard of. In Street Prepared, you can swap bits from any model/trim listed on the same level. That's how you can take an old HF Civic and keep the light weight but drop all the Si go-fast bits into it.

Correct. You can also change the front sway bar (for now - there's a proposal on the table to allow change of one sway bar, front or rear), brake pads/shoes, air filter (i.e., a K&N type), and cat-back exhaust. That's pretty much it, IIRC.

13.2 H - You can weld in a 4 point roll bar or bolt in a 6+ point cage.

13.2 I - Any seat belt can be used without altering the seat.

13.2 J - You can add a trailer hitch.

13.6 - I think you can use any brake pad

13.9 A - You can can Spark Plugs and Ignition coils or coil-on-plug Ignition on newer car (I think)

13.10 F - Any Oil Filter can be used

13.10 I - Any thermostat can be used
