With basically no interior rear of the front seats. WRX buckets, poly suspension bushings, modified exhaust, springs, STI front lower control arms, WRX wheels.... Buddy of mine is building it and wants to max it out for the class, only he doesn't know what class. I'm guessing SM since it's basically gutted minus dash and door panels. What say you?

For SM you also need to have full interior( carpet, plastic panels etc.) If you have no interior just seats and dash, you would be in ..Mod class.
Just tell him to bring it out.

Yeah, sounds like Modified. It's a 2.2l motor, right? That would be EMod.

That car is eligible for X-Prepared if I am not mistaken... If he puts the rest of the interior back in the car(any loose items can be removed of course but not parts that are clipped or bolted down, sound deadening has to stay intact also) he'll be in SM which would be a much better class for the car. XP gets crazy with weight savings and suspension, EMod is a pretty much a custom/purpose built car, chassis and all. I'd stay away from EM personally. SM still has tons of stuff that is allowed and you can get extremely creative with the suspension also. (RCA, custom control arms, spherical rod ends etc etc) If he doesn't have everything 100%, he can still run SM even though he is not 100% legal. It all depends on the class-mates' complaints...heh Brian Boggess, Mike Francis and myself might be your best bet for rules, have your friend contact us or talk to us at an event, we'll be more than happy to help out with rules...;)

Other than the control arms and lack of interior it would only be a Street Prepared car on stickies and St on streets. I would put everything except the backseat in it and run SM personally. Gives you room for creativity, like Marteen said, both in power and suspension.
