Looking to have some fun with my lil brother and the SWVRSCCA seems to fit the bill. What catergory would each car run in ? Assuming both are stock. Thanks.

Looks like the Taurus would be in G/Stock. If the Capri is a turbo 4, it would go in G/Stock too. If the Capri is a normally aspirated 4, it would be in H/Stock.

Thanks for asking in advance!

Well the SHO does indeed hav eibach springs on it, would that bump it to another class?

That would bump you to a Street Prepared calss, most likely DSP, possibly ESP. I'd have to look at the rules.

It is ESP for street prepared... Looking at the ST rules it should fit there too...

so its ESP (E street prepared) or ST (street touring) we have more people locally in ST so that may be more fun.

How big is the motor in the SHO? That would determine which ST* class it ended up in.

Hope you can make it, we have a great bunch of people in this club, make sure you introduce yourself and talk to people, get their opinions. Look me up, I can introduce you too, my name is Martin and we'll be in a white celica alltrac in street modified, and also possibly in a red MR2...my fiance's name is Tara. Look us up and say hello.

As far as car prep, make sure your battery is tied down properly, make sure your throttle cable is not sticking and has a good return spring on it, look over your wheels, make sure all lug nuts are there and ball joints/tie rods are tight. I'd add a few PSI to your tires as that will help the wear on the course. You'll be pushing your car a little more than on the street and more infl. pressure will assure that the tires don't roll over too much and wear the sides of your tires...
I am sure you already knew this but these are the absolute basics which is a good start. If you have any other questions just ask at the event, we'll be more than happy to help in any way we can. You can also ride along if you'd like. Anything else I didn't answer?

My advice is don't ask me for any advice unless you want to go slower! I know you'll have a great time, I'll be there with my girlfriend in a black Mazdaspeed3 and she may have her white 350z. Come introduce yourself!

Ps- my name is Shaun and my gf's name is Randi
