You were absolutely right, the reeds on the kart are a problem.. they are chipped and frayed at the end and I read you shouldn't be able to see light through them either, if you can they're not seating correctly.

A new set should maker her run a bit better!!! the new ones may have a slight curve to them so if you still see light with the new set flip them over and check again...

I'm getting the idea that carbontech mediums are probably the best option, you agree?

I have used carbontech with good results... medium to stiff seem to be the most common used. I am now using the factory SGM Carbon Fiber Reeds...

Yea of course, it's so much more comfortable with the new seat.. just hope the new reeds make it in time, if not i've adjusted the ones in it to get a better seal, still not perfect but I imagine it should run at least a little better.

Good deal, I thought about getting stock yamaha reeds since they're cheaper, but it looked like it had carbontech in it already and from what I was reading the stock ones don't last as long.. liked the idea of being able to choose between soft, medium, and stiff too.

New reeds are in.. i could tell a huge difference on the stand. Should be fun this weekend.
