This event is coming up in a couple of weeks, let's make this one of the best event we've had so far. I know it's going to be tough competing with Parkersbug (especially past couple of years). Bring friends, any and all of them!
Also wanted to remind everyone about safety. We are trying to come back to this site in the future so please be careful with yourself and with your car. Remember, drive around the paddock/grid/parking area at walking speed. Absolutely no burnouts or "testing" your car above walking speed anywhere on or near the site. Please be nice to people that are passing by, smile and be polite. We'll have a few safety stewards on site so report anything suspicious to them. SSS (Solo Safety Steward) will be clearly marked by an orange or yellow vest and/or hat.
I've been talking with a couple of people regarding possible prizes and awards, will keep everyone posted about the outcome. If you know of any businesses or organizations that are willing to advertise with us or provide us with some prizes please let us know.
If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns regarding this event please post here or contact JasonV or myself. We can use this thread as a planning tool for the time being...

Exactly which lot are we gonna be runnig on? Went by there the other day and the large lot near the road is really bumpy and has spots of grass growing out of it.

It is the large lot... not worried about the grass and we plan to go around as many of the bumpy spots as we can... we may have the option of moving to the smaller but smother lot depending on other events scheduled in the area. It is my hope we can make the larger lot work because the smaller lot is not much better than what we have access to localy..... I don't think it is as bumpy as Peru LOL...

Good to hear that Jason. Do we need anything else? Got a few maps drawn up, we can look through the lot tomorrow evening to get an idea about what sections to avoid. Timer heads are in, we'll have them with us. What time are you guys getting there? We're leaving right around 5, plus dinner so around 7:15 or right after for us I think.
Weather looks good but warm, everyone bring plenty of water. If anyone needs their tires transported let me know tonight.

Chuck & I are leaving Kanawha City around 4pm tomorrow if anyone would like to join the convoy. We will not be stopping on the way to have dinner since we will have Cooper with us.

FYI - I put the insurance form in the trailer for the Bluefield event when we were at Parkersburg. It should be posted on the door right behind the Parkersburg certificate. Good for Jr. karters age 8-15 as well.

Not sure when we are leaving Friday.. depends on work... hopefully around 6. I have the PC and some stuff to help with the timer heads to avoid the issues we had at Parkersburg (anti water cases), I think I even have room to bring a Kart along!!!

From Jason: "Quality Hotel 304-325-6170 and tell them you want to reserve under the SCCA Group. Our rate there is 75 per night."
From Miro: "I went to Econo lodge hotel to ask about deal for us and this is what I got.:::
If we reserve least 5 rooms we will get 39.00+tax rate ($46.48 after tax) per room.
If not rete is $42 pre room. I think this is a great deal and hotel is just her side of the road from Comfort Inn. This is just cheaper option for people to save money.
Hotel is smaller size but pretty nice for the price and it's safe to park...She sad they never had any kind of vandalism before, so I think we good on that.
For reservations call Sara Ransome( assistant manager) (304) 327-8171 "

Sorry all we can't make it this time... I am doing PT, Taylor is in summer school and we are just too wore out to come down. Now we add in breakage on the Kart and the torque converter clutch failing on the truck.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun time.

Hope all goes well and smoothly. Had to give this one up for an amazing concert last night and, of course, our World Cup match with Ghana this afternoon. Somebody take pictures and somebody take notes for a RM article!

My sincere apologies for not sending the registration files. Lost a family friend on Tuesday, and the funeral was yesterday.

Thanks everyone for this event. I had a hard time to go fast... Just little too much for my car, but we really enjoyed the weekend with all of you.
Hope my shocks are going to be OK for rest of the season. Anyway, sorry for leaving early yesterday and hope everybody returned back home safely. Thanks
