BRR - Mercer County

Just wanted to let you guys know that the Mercer County Airport Commission / FAA has restricted the area we can use at the airport to the point where it doesn't make sense for us to run any events there.

BRR is going to miss that place and we are going to miss the participation of SWVR at those events.

Unfortunatelly this is a great loss but we WILL continue to come to your events!! I know a few of us are planning a full season with you guys... :wink:
I heard Danville is the replacement venue...is this correct? From what I hear Danville is as big if not bigger than Mercer and will be more than worth the drive....

I was so looking forward to doing some more events there, it was huge fun.

Danville is a great site. It doesn't have the large rectangular area like Mercer, but there is a long and wide runway that makes for some fast and interesting courses. It is an unused part of the airport so we don't have to work around take offs and landings.

Sucks... but we heard Danville rocks!!!
