No quitting autocross isn't cheaper when you keep buying cars. :hammer:

Every time I see that Spyder picture I see the ears on the top and I die a little inside ;)

By the way Sean, what is the story on that CRX?

The top is missing, obviously, it looks like someone did a conversion of some kind; is there a functioning soft top (I see... something... behind the seats)?

Also, those headlights and nose trim are not stock?

Just curious!

Nate: it took me a while to figure out what everyone kept saying when they said ears. I was what, my car doesn't have ears what are you talking about. Then I went oh, so that's how the soft top gets closed.

Story on the CRX?

1984 - 1987 Richard Straman of Straman Coachworks converted 310 Honda CRXes into a convertible. Straman Coachworks did many conversions, here is a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coach_convertible

They were then sold as a brand new Honda CRX convertible through the dealership with warranty and everything. The conversion added $5000 to the cost of the car. My brother and I own the first Si converted, that's atleast what the numbers say right now. The front is completely stock and the soft top is fully functioning. Straman added features that weren't common for other CRXes such as cruise control and power locks. Each car had something a little different done in options.

Spyder is a summer fling/daily driver. Don't need to autocross it. Its currently failing the broomstick test and that has me worried. Now I do have a thick skull, so maybe I'll be okay. :headbutt:

How do you broomstick test without a B/C/D-pillar or roll bar?

Unless, of course, the broomstick extends to the trunk... then yes, that would fail :)
