Hey everyone, sorry I'm running late, Amy had an uncle pass away in Ohio and we got back from the funeral late last night. Looks like the best place for us to meet will be the tudors just off the Hurricane exit, any other ideas? Chuck are you coming up 60? It's much shorter distance but I think interstate is quicker. Around 7:00am as usual? Who's in?

Dan and I will be there sometime before 9am. 7am would mean leaving my house soon after 4...

Another Spyder, hooray! We'll be trying out the new suspension but with the old r-comps.

Hmmm there is something about girls on wheels beating the crap out of each other that is oddly appealing...LOL

Autocross is a complete sausage fest and I’m not coming, but if you can talk Jack in doing the course in roller skates I might make it, towing him around the course with your cart is optional but encouraged.

I have some 710's on koing heliums that may be coming up for sale, being as it is that I dont have a car they will fit anymore. They came off of a spyder that use to run with us.

Oddly enough, the last time I skated was on the wave pool parking lot. If it's legal, or you just want some entertainment, I'll skate the course during course walks. I could probably even do it skating backwards.

Better yet... I could do it during fun runs and actually get a timed run. What class would a human powered 8 wheeler be in?

"The things you don't know about me, I can just about fit into the Grand Canyon" - Silent Bob in Chasing Amy

Quality "skates" are hard to find. Quality and technology in blades far excedes any skates that I can find. I gave up on skates about 1995. I'm still using a pair of Rollerblade Tarmac's from 1995.

thats the plan, leaving the house on the back road, poping out at the 60/35 intersection.

Can you meet me by RT 60, since I wil be driving by your house?

Tell Amy , sorry about her Uncle.

What color are they?

We'll be running Toyo R1Rs (moving to STR) on my old bronze heliums, at least next event.

See you all at Tudors at 7. I'm so excited to get to try out a new venue, especially one close enough for me to change wheels at home!! Impact wrench ftw!! There should be a big show of people coming out from Huntington, the valley, and Charleston. Hopefully we can convince them to autocross too.

Any color you like as long as its black.

They are painted flat black and I have no clue what color they really are but I am guessing silver from the bolt holes.

I need to get rid of them and pick up a set of 18" wheel that fit the RX8, I have some decent performance summer tires but no rims to mount them on. :headbutt:

I have a set of 18" rims with mounted 710s. The rims are 18 x 8 and the offset is the same as a stock RX8. $400.00 for the set including lug nuts. 4 autocrosses on the tires

The Z-06 and I are registered and plan to be there. Any appearance by me on roller skates is highly unlikely; especially with video cameras present and certainly not being towed by a cart with Jason at the controls. I doubt that the 7AM meeting at Tudors is on the agenda either.

Kevin, if he doesn't want those wheels/tires I'll probably take them, 5x114.3 right? What's the width? I have a Mazdaspeed3 and I think they'd fit just fine

IIRC, the stock RX8 wheels fit the MS3 perfectly. Several guys on the Mazda forum I used to frequent used them.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s

I'm gonna need a couple coolers for drinks and if anyone wants to bring a case of coke, water, ice ... that would be great. I couldn't find anyone to cookout so Big Chief's pizza is helping out with about 15-20 pizza's. We'll sell it by the slice and drinks and use the money for a donation too.

I don't want to jinx it, but I may be there to cover this as a story. If Jim and/or Fred are there, I may shoot 2 stories in one day. I'm going to see if we can tease it at all beforehand, but it usually never happens.

I really wanted to run this event, but the Grand Am still isn't legal. I went to the courthouse yesterday to make sure all my taxes were up to date, but I still have to hit the DMV and get it inspected.

Jason V
04-16-2010, 05:41 PM
Troy we would love to have you ( and April ) back out at some events... Do the DMV asap and just risk the inspection.. if you get a ticket for it they should drop it once you prove you got the inspection.... (don't ask how I know...LOL)

evilnissan
04-16-2010, 06:37 PM
Any time i have gotten pulled over for bad sticker or inspection I just take the ticket and the receipt/proper insurance/ up to date reg, to the court house and its taken care of.
