Is there any rule of thumb for tire pressures in an AWD car? With my FWD cars I was usually between +5 and +10 front to rear, but I figure that might not be idea for AWD.

Hints? Tips? A place to start, at least?

Thanks,

Run about 40-45psi up front and 3-5 psi less in the rear.

I am so lost on tire street tire pressures it's not even funny! Also Jon, I have a pyrometer you can use if you'd like...

There are way too many variables; between car models, suspension setups (you're stock but you can set toe at least), driving style, and the temperature of the air and surface...

Staggering tire pressures before you know what you're trying to correct seems counter-productive to me. Set them equal and then see what the car does.

If it has those potenza re92's on it, jack the fronts up to 44 or so and i usually run 6-8 pounds less in the rear. If it has good tires(anything other than re92's) 36-40 in the fronts should be good.

If it has re92's I suggest you sell the car.

LOL. Thankfully, no, the OEM tires are now Dunlop SPs, a step below the * Specs, I think. They weren't too bad.

Looked like they had plenty of grip, glad they went away from the re92's.

I think I was playing on 45 in the front, and 41 in the back on re01rs. Couldnt get any heat in the rear tires Sunday.
