I won a Dension Icelink iPod adapter on eBay for $12. Unfortunately, the radio in my car has proven difficult to remove. Are there any decent audio shops locally, or would something like Best Buy be the best bet? Thanks.

They may not be the cheapest, but Barracks in Kanawha City does quality work. I used to do computer work for the main installer Tracy. I'm sure he's still around. They've been around for a very long time.

There's also Art of Tint.. I think one of our members has his hand in that one. Had my MS3 tinted by them.

Not sure if I'd be brave enough to have Best Buy or some place like that do the work.

yep, I'd try Pat McCallister ART of Tint in Winfield. He's the member Jon refered to.

Great, I didn't realize he did audio work, too. It should be an easy install, but as adminisTerTurbo and I found out last year, getting the stupid head unit out is the hardest part. I can also have some tint retouched while I'm there. : )

Thanks, guys. I'll give him a call.

Mike Stump, the salesman at Barracks used to autocross with you guys in his VW. One of the installers had a father that was big into SCCA in the 1970s, and he remembers watching the older guys as a kid. Another one of the installers bought my black Neon, but I haven't convinced him to autocross it yet. Apparently he also believes its not "saddle broke".
What was the original question? Oh, yea, just tell Mike I sent you. It won't change the price, but it will make him feel good. He will give you an honest opinion on whether they can deal with it or not.

I got out of the audio business but i can help you out. i can take a look at it if you want or you can go to www.metraonline.com look up your car then kits, then product instruction and that will show how to remove the radio to get to the back of it. i do have the tools (keys) if you need them but i also think you can get them at walmart or advance auto.
