Kevin, and anyone else who owns a Dirtymax… beware. This just happened to my truck at 125K miles.

I’ve read about head gaskets and injector sleeve problems with the 1st/2nd gen Duramax (don’t know about the new models with aluminum heads) and Dodge is having some issues with the blue-tec system in new 6.7L. Have you heard of any problems with Ford’s Diesel or V-10?

No problems with the 7.3L or 6.4L, but I would stay away from the 6.0L (2003-2007 engines). they are ok, but not much power. I think Ford had a 7.3 non turbo for a while, it's a pig. All Ford diesel are International motors. the new 2011 F-250 and up will have an Ford in-house engineered and built6.7L Diesel.
