Ok, just curious which way was the fastest or which way you thought was fastest.... regarding the optional section at the last event.

I chose to stay right, hence making it a left hand turn. I just don't see that I would have been able to make up for the speed I would have lost to go the other way around. Would have had to brake alot earlier and don't see being able to come out of the turn any faster to make up for it.

I went left each time....Caleb said (and many others) said right was faster...i believe they are correct
The best part is that I wanted this turn/option to be debatable. :)

I went left 2 runs and right 2 runs. Going right seemed to be faster by about 3 seconds for me anyways

While walking the course in the morning I thought for sure left was the faster way...then driving it revealed a much different perspective, clearly right was the way to go... sorry Chuck, I led you on a false road all morning... :headbutt:
I never walked it going right and that's what got me. I went twice left and twice right, never knowing the correct way to get through the right path and being overly cautious because of that. Lesson learned, walk optional turns both ways and analyze them both way, that way there are no surprises.

Another vote for the right (i.e., make it a left hand corner). Although I figured that would be the way to go, in all honesty once out there it all came up so fast that was never tempted to try it the other way.

so thats why I was so slow!!!!!!!
actually I stayed to the right, as John mentioned, I was going way to fast to turn left, would have had to brake way too early to make the left. I never tryied going right after the first run.

I went right every run. As everybody said, going to fast to want to turn left.
