'05-'06 LGT Wagon. Wagon because the aerodynamics are superior as are the spring rates. It's the best Legacy ever. So far. IMHO

Also the Weight Distribution is better. It really is like night and day between the Wagon and Sedan. I have both and prefer the Wagon.

I'm in some agreement. They rather eaten up with imprezas there. But, there is alot of good info on powertrains.

Check i-club.com as well Nate. John Wright might be ready to come off his turbo 5-speed forester by now also, if you can get ahold of him.

well i was looking at a spec B legacy. It wouldn't run cleanly to redline... had a pretty serious stutter problem. After some research it turns out that a huge percentage of the cars with this engine have this problem. usually a reflash or new software fixes the problem but not always. and dealers can rarely find it (b/c we all know how useful dealers are). I got spooked and walked away. Going back the the dark side... "everyone knows the germans make good stuff" -Vince Offer, Shamwow Inc.

'07 with 23k miles. they were asking trade in value for it. seemed like a decent deal.

Ah, yes they married the ECM, CCM,and TCM all together in one unit for the first time that year. I knew it would be trouble. i'd say the '08-'09s have it sorted out.

If you're interested, go to Suburban Subaru and talk to Jimmy about the fix for that Legacy, I promise you'll like working on it better than German stuff.
