ride along with someone.. get the feel for it..
borrow a helmet.. the club has loaners..
stay off the sidewalks with your car.. LOL
inside joke
and have fun.. don't try to set any records or show off.. just drive and try not to knock down the pylons..
its a great time :D

John, browse through our web side, check out the links where you can find a lot of good info. If you can, get there as soon as you can, between 8 and 9 preferably. Since you're new it will be very helpfull to see how the course is set up and talk to some of us before things get started in case you have questions.. Everything applies as Mike said in the above post, the registration for non-members is $22 and you don't really need anything else....Even chalk is provided to put some numbers on your windows...
Wes is one of our newer member and has done a great job so far and I know he would have a lot of answers for you. Hope to see you both on the 19th.

John,
Welcome to the show fellow WVU student.
If you need further assistance beyond the links on our site feel free to PM any one of us old time members.
Good to see Wes converting more people to the art of chasing cones.

What all mods do you have on the car.
The EP3 Si makes a fairly good HS car and a decent STS car. Jon Byrne (SentraWV) has an EP3 Si that he runs in HS so it'll be cool to see another miniv... I mean Si running around.

Just remember to take anything out wont need for the day out of the car before you come down, show up between 8 and 9.
Dress for the weather and then some..
I am allready in the lobbying process to get this day off.

I second the take everything out of the car beforehand, one day I couldnt do so (since I was moving some stuff and the autocross was on the way) and it was a bitch. I'm sure everyone else got a good laugh out of it.

its cool to see another wvu student gettin in on the autox. I unfortunately won't get to be at this regions autox on the 19th cause i gotta go home to VA... but since there seem to be an increasing number of wvu people, maybe we should like all get together in morgantown sometime, maybe start a student group on campus... you know, get more people interested in autox?

Now there is an idea Andrew...a good one! They have club sports, why not have an autocross club? You could be the president Andrew! :D

I'm fairly certain that one of the ACC colleges (Clemson, maybe?) has a sports car club that organizes autocrosses.
Nice to see another EP3 'round here! 8)

Good luck trying to form a club at WVU, trust me I've ventured that path before and faced a bunch of dead ends. One of the big hurdles is getting faculty backing which you need in order to have a legit club. There is only one professor at WVU that has autoxed, and he is too tied up with Formula Lightning. There is one other that might work, but his main area of interest is with the Future truck program.
We could start an informal group, if there are enough people I could form a mailing list or something.
