We need as many handheld "public channel, 2-way" radios as possible. This event will rely more on radios than other events due to the size of our area.
It would be a huge help if we can round up as many radios as possible.
It doesn't really matter what brand radio you have, as long as it is a 2-way radio (non-HAM) that uses the public 22 channels. See below for an example of such a radio.Make sure to charge them up and/or bring charger and put your name on them (I put my name on tape and attach to radio.).
Please post up below if you think you have a radio/s that you can let us borrow at the event. I would like a rough count on how many radios we may have. Do we know how many there are in the timing trailer?
Kurt W. has thankfully volunteered (I promised to deduct .5 sec off his best time, heh) to be the main communication manager for this event. The official race channel will be given out at the drivers meeting on Saturday morning.
Thanks!!!
