Congrats to Marteen...

Also, congrats to Philip for an amazing 5th place in STS2 behind cars which have more money invested in their wheels than my entire car cost to build.

Congrats Martin! I have to say I'm impressed. I knew the car looked much more composed last Sunday, but I didn't know it was that fast :uhoh:

Woot! Way to go, Marteen (& Phillip as well)! http://img99.exs.cx/img99/8577/yupi3ti.gif

On the other hand, I'm very disappointed in Sean for not following through on his promised DFL.

Ahh, thank you guys, it was an amazing weekend to say the least... It was sooo nice to see all thefamiliar faces at the event, lots of guys fom Steel Cities and BRR, Philip, Sean... The best part was there was always someone you know running.
Congrats to Philip and Sean on a great showing, it was fun to see the rex running with the big dogs and doing so well!
The celica did great with zero problems. Had to adjust a few things at the event, (brake proportioning, tire pressures, toe, shocks plus some mods to the timing map to aid spool up)) the car responded really well to each and every change...yesterday I finally had it dialed in pretty well and it showed....plus I was able to pull my head out of my rear end as I had a horrible time with the left course all day Saturday and threw away any lead I had on the right. Five minutes with Sam Strano's coaching plus some methodical studying of the course Sunday morning yielded the results that allowed the alltrac to win on Sunday.

You are very welcome. Sorry I didn't make it out Sunday to see you take the win. I got back up at 9 and it was kind of cloudy outside and weather.org was still saying 50 percent. I didn't want to take the chance of doing all that driving to arrive at a rainy FedEx parking lot. If I am interning in the DC area again next summer you guys are welcome to stay; hopefully I won't be watching next year.

I know what you mean Johny, I even made my peace with 3rd place on Saturday as it was calling for rain on Sunday and there would have been no chance of going faster....so having a nice day (although really hot) was a very pleasant surprise. Hope you can make it next year! As should other members since this is a very different and fun format for autocrossing...

Congrats Martin!

what hasn't been mentioned is that Martin ran a 1.55 60ft time, which as far as I know was the fastest of the weekend.

Just looking at the results, Philip finished less than a second from a trophy position FYI... Can't wait to see him in his own STS Civic soon!
