View Full Version : We just Closed on our new house.

Well, the bank (mostly), my wife, and I own a new (to us) house. It's on 929 Lee St. in Saint Albans. We will actually be able to have company over!
The projected moving date is Sunday June 8th.
We have had some offers to help move, but many hands make light work. So anyone who would like to help. We would greatly appreciate it. Those that help will be the first invited to dinner, when we are settled. My wife and I are pretty fair cooks so, dinner should be worth it. Refreshments will be available at both houses, and those that wish may bring there own alcoholic beverage.
Looking forward to everything. Next week I'll be painting a couple of rooms, refinishing about 1200-1300 sq.ft of hardwood floors (sanding to bare wood and starting from scratch), and clearing out and packing about 800 sq.ft. of garage and storage space that are COMPLETELY FULL. Why to we have so much junk? One would think that in 36 yrs. I would learn to throw things away instead of saving it for some future perceived benefit. If all goes as planned, moving will consist mainly of furniture and a few boxes, as I will have most everything else moved over the coarse of next week. Planning on two trip with a 14ft. Uhaul.
Anyway, just wanted touch base and make a Plee for Help.

Congrats guys!!! Buying a house is exciting but a lot of work too...but it's all worth it! :f1:
Would love to help but will be out of town on June 8th...maybe if we come back earlier we can still help.

It would be GREAT if you guys can make it! Drop by even that evening. Littia will have her Cell' on. I'll call you soon as I know more about what time we will be where.:biggrin:

Well, the move is put off until Sunday June 22. I didn't quite get enough stuff done to move in this Sunday. THE FLOORS ARE KILLING ME!!!:headbutt: Anyway thanks to those have offered to help. I hope when the new move date arrives you guys will still be able to help.

Chris, if both homes are accesible for my truck and trailer, we can move you 2 with that instead of a U-Haul. With the price of diesel, it better be some damn good food, LOL. Let me know, 741-2601

Yes, they're accessable. And would love the help. I'll pay for the Diesel. And we'll have you over for dinner and company when we are settled a bit after the move.:partay:

This weekend is the middle of a 7 shift run so I will be passed out all day every day.

Well, the move is basically on schedule. Sunday, June 22. We'll try to get started around 12:00 Noon.
Judd I'll give you a call this evening and confirm directions.

Well, we are basically moved in. Judd Thomson, Jason and Brenda Vehige, Chris Halleron ( Sean's Brother ), Littia's Dad, My Mother and Father, and Littia and I were on hand for the move. We had a hail and thunder storm in the middle of everything. That held us up for about a little over an hour. But, we were able to get what we had ready moved and what we needed.
I still have stuff to clear out of the garage and a storage room, as well as, a few things at her mom's house. But, we have time and it won't be that bad.

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPED! And, Everyone who wanted to help, but had other engagements!
We greatly appreciate it.
