It's got a d15 vtec motorswap, header back is all aftermarket. So I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in some modified class right? if so can I lighten the car? I know that's not going to make it competitive but its too ugly to be anything but a race car anyways. I'm just happy to have something to autocross again slow or not!

The car will go straight to SM2... Did you buy Shawn's white CRX?

Edit: Nevermind, I jut saw your other post... congrats on a very nice car!

You could run, D/Mod, too, assuming the motor is under 2 liters.

Ditch the motor
Swap in a D16 from an Si
Stick some monster tires on it
Run CSP

Seriously, you have a perfect platform for a killer CSP car. A D16 is running around $150 now a days. I'll keep an eye out for parts for it that you had on the want to buy forums.

I appreciate the suggestions guys, still not sure exactly what I'm gonna do with it yet, like I said I'm just excited that I have something to run now. I had to retire my civic hatch a long time ago cause it had to be my daily driver and work vehicle for pizza delivery. I haven't autocrossed in at least a year and last time I did I was driving Brian's Impreza. Yeah I bought the car off of Shawn, he seems like a really nice guy that was the first time I met him. but as soon as I can get my funds straight I'll start working on it. does anyone know any history on this car? I'd just like to know exactly what's been done to it. thanks again all, and I look forward to getting beaten by all of you hopefully at the next autocross!!! hey and this time I'll have more than 70 horsepower, Triple digits baby woo hoo!!!

can you get a D16 for 150 with the ECU and multipoint fuel injection to swap into the Ron Paul Civic? cause the 70 horsepower beast in it is almost ready to be replaced! Where were you finding them for $150 Sean? I might be interested in doing that even If I had to peice together the fuel system and computer.

You can pick up a complete block at most junkyards for $150.

Check www.car-part.com they have quite a few listed, all 88-91 Civics and CRX Sis have the same engine.
