Way to go Jon!!! Did it dry up a little later? I saw some sunshine once I hit Charleston so I was hoping it would dry up a bit for you all... Any fun runs? Sorry guys for leaving early, had to go to work...
Thanks Kevin for a fun course and Chuck for towing the trailer. :f1:

I'm so sorry we didn't show up this morning, guys. April and I both worked until about midnight last night, April at the symphony and me at WCHS/WVAH. I had to work today at 2:30, also. When we got up this morning, April said she didn't feel good, so I told her to call Martin if she thought she felt bad enough.
Well, she called Martin, but judging by what he said in the previous post, he wasn't at the event, either. I hope someone got the word.
I feel so bad every time we miss an event, and that's the second (IIRC) we've missed this year. Not only do I neglect my registration duties, but I also miss out on getting video, talking to everyone, and everything else that comes along with an event. My next chance doesn't come for another month. All of this was going through my head this morning and it took me an hour and a half to get back to sleep. Hopefully, this is that last event we miss for a while.

No worries Troy, I was at the event for a while but had to leave early... You guys should NEVER feel bad for not coming and helping.... if you do, great (and we love you both for it!), if not we understand.... :partay:
By the way I did get your message but things got a little hectic and loud after a while....sorry for not returning the phone call.

It rained pretty much all the way through the 1st heat of the afternoon, but had slacked off quite a bit by then. It never really dried out, but some folks (self included) managed to go quicker in the afternoon than in the morning.

This day was crazy in my old Spitfire. Driving on slicks on I-64 for one and a half hours in the rain. Getting to Riverside too late for a course walk, wet all day, sticky throttle cable, blowing a water pump gasket thinking it was just a radiator cap...Having a lot of fun dodging cones slower than all the rest......Hope some of my runs made you guys laugh!...Then fixing the gasket and starting home only to have my little electric fuel pump quit on the ramp at Chelyan. I siphoned enough gas into a pop can to refill the carbs and get to a little gas station in East Bank.... Got a ride to Advance on MacCorkle from a cool diesel mechanic named Daniel. Bought a new Mr. Gasket fuel pump, installed it and headed home about 70 miles turning the pump on and off every 10 seconds so it wouldn't override the float needles and leak that liquid gold all over the road. Made it home about 6:30 with an empty tank and a GREAT feeling of accomlishment. I'd survived another day in a British Sportscar............Dennis

haha Dennis. WOW, hey it's good to hear you made it back though!
I had such a fun time today. I'm sure you all noticed that by my driving style. With super wet track and terrible tires, what else can you do? hah
My socks, shoes, pants, and jacket was soaked but I don't care. I had a blast and it was definately worth coming out. Thanks to everyone for coming out and I can't wait until we get a 'nice weather' autocross!

Good to see everybody again. +1 to JD's course comments - turned out to be much more fun than I would have guessed after a course walk. Weather really wasn't that bad except for ten minutes or so. Glad you made it home, Dennis.

Excellent event guys. I had a ball in the MS3. It's almost as if that course was designed just for me :-) I'm still shocked I did as well as I did.
