Go to the SCCA Forums and ask that question - big can of worms! Grassroots Motorsports magazine did another test recently, but I don't recall the results - you might check their forums, as well. Are you going to actually drive on the street with these tires, or will they be just for auto-xing? Some of the ST tires are dicey in the rain at highway speeds (my old Falken Azenis, for instance). All are useless/dangerous in winter conditions.

I don't know anymore...
Bridgestone RE-01Rs shaved used to be the tire to have for 2007. But, Toyo, Kumho and others are coming out with a new breed of ST tires that might but Bridgestone to shame.

Not something I am particularyl interested in  but here is something that might be of interest....
Now I AM very interested what new R comp tires will be brough to the table for 08... I know V710 are supposed to be improved and the new Hankook C71 compound looks mighty interesting... we'll just have to be patient and see what the first national tour will bring resut-wise...

Point on the Hankooks, they are long lasting. Chris Pererra broke the ITA track record at Summit on 7-8 heat cycle old C51s. Johnny is on some very ancient C50s that still have life left in them.

For running at the local level, those should do just fine - just not in winter weather!
